How to sanitize a canister style filter

First get a bucket with a lid on it and pour in a metabisulfite solution so that the first 1-2’’ is covered. Then place a plastic strainer in the bucket (so the actual basket is not touching the solution) set you Filter elements in the basket and close the lid properly for 30-45 minutes. The gases from the solution actually does the sanitizing.
